A BIZARRE fish with a pair of fins that can grip like a hand and tiny feet has been discovered off the shores of China and hauled in by fishermen.
Experts believe that it’s hand-like fins and tiny feet are used for crawling on the ocean bed.
The fish, that also has a huge gaping mouth, is believed to live in the depths of the South China Sea.
Bao Sung, who snapped up the specimen, said: “His fins are so big and muscular he could walk to the table.”
According to the Austrian Times the creature was forced towards the surface by increasing pollution around China’s coast – which is killing off life on the sea bed.
Fish fins are made up of bony spines protruding from the body with skin covering them and joining them together.

They are sometimes webbed fashion, as seen in bony fish, or more similar to a flipper, as seen in sharks. These usually serve as a means for the fish to swim.
Fins can also be used for gliding or crawling, as seen in the flying fish and frogfish – although ‘hands’ like this have rarely been seen before.
