An incompetent government is elected to "fix" the mess, with a confused left party geologist as the finance minister. Gordon Brown passed an anti-terrorist act on Iceland to save his then declining political carrier, kicking Icelandic citizens and businesses in the balls in exchange for a few votes. This Icesave (or Iceslave as it has been called), even though it is almost impossible for the Icelandic nation to pay back in 15 years, is not the only debts Iceland's citizens are facing. The Icelandic currency the Krona was in freefall last year and is not looking like it's gonna recover any time soon, Icelanders have personal loans which they can't pay back, the youth is leaving the country, moving anywhere they can get jobs.
