Scientists Invent Superhydrophobic Material

Take a close look at this picture and you’ll see it defies physical rules we’ve come to accept as law. There’s no reason why this metal mesh container should float, let alone bear the weight that its holding. Except that it’s coated in a “superhydrophobic” substance that basically forces an air cushion between the container and the water. This will change the physics of floating as we know it.
