Texas Congressman Ron Paul has warned that passing the latest proposed economic stimulus package would be akin to pouring kerosene on an already raging fire. Paul, who is also a member of the House Financial Services Committee, warned that such measures will cause a recession to turn into a full scale depression possibly worse than that of the 1930s.

During a Television interview with CNN, Paul explained why he believes stimulus funding is such a destructive policy.

    Why will no one listen to this man? Clearly we need to try something different…maybe a more serious Presidential run in 2012 for Paul? He certainly could pull in support from both sides, if he could only get the financial backing…

    on the other hand, being on the outside of the administration for the next 4 years gives him enough time and opportunities to try to show people what should be done. his campaign for 2012 started after november 4, 2008.

    the scariest thing of the interview is the fact that federal reserve bank CANNOT be audited by ANYONE, putting it above all laws of the US. there’s one big change needed, not million smaller ones. unless this whole system of the private federal and central banks is overthrown, the whole world will continue to go deeper in debt. who knows, what conflict will that result into eventually… is the WW III coming?

    Obama should have assigned him a position. He is the right man for so many jobs in Washington. He make so much sense yet, he is ridiculed. We are n trouble, but the world starts over in 2012, so who cares.
