Reuters reported that the 51-year-old man of Nantou County was under medical care with minor injuries after he sat down on the toilet in his home in Taipei and suddenly felt a knife-like pain in his sex organ.
Instinctively, he stood up and when he looked down he saw the big black and yellow reptile, reportedly a species of rat snake in the bowl.
Snakes in Taiwan regularly enter rural home and other sub-tropical regions of Asia.
